This was my 5th time staying here. The trip was 3 couples. Plenty of room for everybody. Everybody had an amazing trip. The hospitality was perfect. Our maid was wonderful and Mario was very helpful when it came to needing anything. This is a must stay for people wanting to be very close to the beach and the hustle and bustle of town.

We went as a group of 8 friends and we had the best of times. The house is impeccable and in a great location. The property manager and everyone working with the house were very caring and attended us in our every need. It is steps away from the beach and town. The rooms are wide and in perfect conditions and the common space in the middle is great with 2 hammocks. We are definitely coming again next year!

First and foremost, both Chantal (owner) and Sarah (management) are extremely attentive to their guests needs. Prior to the trip they were reaching out to offer advice or see if they could organize anything for us. Chantal also provided a contact for the COVID testing to be done at the house ($150/person), which worked out perfectly (Chantal even called the clinic on the last night to make sure we would have our result before our flight – that’s service!). We stayed at the house for 6 nights for a boy’s surf trip. The house is very functional for three persons with two large, separated rooms and a detached second floor apartment (no need to fight over who had which room). You could have your own space if you wanted or alternatively congregate at the large, beautiful wood table in the main area. The selling point of the house is the backyard with a deep, saltwater pool set against a wall of flowers and a jungle vista. We enjoyed watching the iguanas, red squirrels, and monkeys in the trees. The chef’s kitchen has everything you need to stay in, and cook should you choose to. As it is located next to some of the best restaurants in town, we ended up eating out every night (the food in the town is some of the best I have had). Being able to walk out the door and across the road for a great meal was a real plus. With the main point of the trip being surfing we were in a great location with direct beach access across the road (multiple surf checks each day). We did end up surfing more at Hermosa beach (about 10 minutes to the north) as the crowds out front were thick. The whole town was busier than expected, and you need to look both ways when crossing the road out the front of the house or risk being hit by a four-wheeler. You will also hear noise from the road and surrounding restaurants from inside the house, but it quiets down early in the evenings. All in all, it was a great trip that thankfully went off without a hitch given the new COVID entry requirements for the US (we have thought of canceling). I would highly recommend Chantal’s place for any first timer in Santa Teresa.

Late April is a great time to go – the beaches we had practically all to ourselves and booking surfing lessons, 4 wheelers for a day, or even fishing was a piece of cake. The hammocks in the house were never empty – a great place to take a nap beneath the cool ceiling fan. We spent most mornings in the pool before heading out for the day. Be sure and visit Ginger’s right up the street for the best coffee and french toast going! I would recommend this house to anyone.
